Missing a loved one's appointment shouldn't mean they face it alone. Meddy sends a trusted companion in your place - a medical escort who supports them from the moment they leave home to the moment they're back.
Simple & straightforward
Three steps, all online. We'll keep you posted on WhatsApp along the way.
The date, time and hospital or clinic, whether you'd like door-to-door, and your loved one's language. Takes under 5 minutes, and you'll see the full price before you pay.
Payment secures your booking and we start matching your companion. If we can't match one in time, you get a full refund.
They meet your loved one at home or at the clinic, and stay with them through the appointment. Afterwards, they share with you what the doctor said. You just follow up on the care.

Three things you can count on, every booking.
Every Meddy companion is healthcare-trained, assessed, and bound by confidentiality before their first visit.
They're Singapore Citizens or PRs who know our hospitals and polyclinics well. Many speak Mandarin, Malay, Tamil or a Chinese dialect, so tell us your preference and we'll match someone your loved one can talk to comfortably.
With your loved one's consent, your companion sits in on the consultation.
Afterwards, they share with you what the doctor said: what was found, what's next, and any follow-up steps.
With door-to-door, your companion meets your loved one at home, goes with them to the appointment, and sees them safely home after.
The ride fare is worked out upfront, so there are no surprises.

The same price applies to any booking, regardless of how far ahead you book. No urgency surcharges, no weekend pricing.

None, really. Both describe someone who goes with a patient to their medical appointment and stays with them through it. Many people in Singapore search for a “medical escort”, and that's exactly what a Meddy companion is.
We call them companions because “escort” can make it sound like a transport job: get the patient from A to B.
A Meddy companion is there for the whole visit - keeping your loved one company through the wait, sitting in on the consultation if they agree, and making sure you know what the doctor said.
They meet your loved one at home or at the clinic, stay with them through the appointment, and, with consent, relay what the doctor said afterwards. With door-to-door, they also handle the journey there and back.
Yes, if they can get in and out of a car with a little help while bearing most of their own weight - for example, standing up and pivoting from the wheelchair to the car seat. Your companion can push the wheelchair and help with these transfers.
If your loved one needs more help than that to transfer (moderate or maximum assistance), needs to be lifted, or must stay in their wheelchair for the whole journey, a wheelchair-accessible transport service is the safer choice. We don't offer this yet.
Companions offer presence, practical help, and an update afterwards. They do not provide any medical care or treatment.
They also can't lift patients, or help with transfers where the patient can't bear most of their own weight. They can't support advanced dementia, significant cognitive needs, or specialised behavioural needs. This applies to appointments and home companionship alike.
Once your PayNow payment is received, we start matching. If your appointment is 3 or more business days away, we'll match your companion at least 2 business days before it - companions usually commit closer to the date.
If your appointment is sooner than that, we match within 1 business day of payment.
Either way, if we can't match you in time, you get a full refund.
